2010 55 micro ti airs to be precise...

Bought them second hand and just got round to fitting them. Now I know I'm being a bit of an idiot here, but I thought these were air forks, but obviously not the same as my old rockshoxs as there isn't a valve to increase the presure.

Have done some fiddling with a few of the dials, but they still appear to have to much sag. Am I being really stupid here (I suspect I am) or are these infact coil forks and I need a stonger spring????

I've had a nosey on their website, and even showed them to the chap at my local bike shop but he was unfamiliar with them, so I'm fairly ashamed to say I'm still totally clueless

Any help would be appreciated

Air pressure is adjusted via a valve located under the silver knob on the right leg (well its silver on my 44 Micro Ti)

I don't have a valve under either leg ๐Ÿ™

All I have is a rebound adjust on the left leg, and a allen bolt on the right!

Yeah, they are air forks. I've got 44 micro ti's and run them well under the recommended air pressure. Info on what all the twiddly bits do is hard to come by....

Looks like the air valve is on top of the right hand leg :

(Edit : these are 2010 Micro Air Ti, do yours look like this?)

the very ones! I assumed there was a valve under there when they arrived, but since actually fitting them it appears to just be an adjuster knob. Certainly it doesn't appear to lift up to reveal a valve.

Are they your forks Al, or just a pic from the net?

Just a pic from the net, but I've got 44 + 55 RC3's (and have owned Marzocchi air forks before), and the air valve is in the same place on all of them.

It unscrews.

ouch...although I deserved that...

Yeah you're right it does! I was trying to unscrew the red nut, rather than the wee silver top cap!

In my defense it was on quite tight!

I shall hang my head in shame/embarasment. Thanks for the help ๐Ÿ™‚

@tpbiker, I'll save your blushes by saying it took me a while to find the air value on my Talas, in desperation I actually read the manual - doh !
