I've just fitted a set of rock shox revelation dual air forks 2009 bought of the forum. I am 'only' 9 st so I removed some fo the air in the positive chamber, got it down to 70psi (there was quite a lot more in there!, can't remember exactly how much. . .). I then checked the negative chamber and this was already set at 70 psi. The man from TFT told me to change this to 80, so I did. There was lots of oily stuff coming from the negative valve though.
I then lost travel, now only got just over 100mm. I then removed some air from the negative chamber to get it down to 70 and match the positive. Lots of oil came through the valve again, and still only 100-110 travel. Are these forks faulty? Do I need to contact the seller?
I do not have great tech knowledge of forks, so PEASE HELP!!
Supposed to be riding 2moz :o(
Thanks Simone
let all the air out of both chambers. add positive air to desired pressure then the negative air.
Always turn the forks upside down when inflating/deflating the negative chamber and the oil won't come out. Empty both chambers, then fill positive first, then negtive to same amount or 5psi more or less than the positive (5 psi more will improve small bump response), then ride 8)
