New helmet time, my old one is too old, pads are knackered and sensible me says I should be replacing it.

Requirements
Decent venting
Reasonable price (hopefully under £75)
Will hold glasses when not wearing them
Look awesome
Fit a normal shaped head.

Shortlist at the moment is Specialized Tactic 4. Currently available for £50. Am I missing an obvious alternative?

Mate has just got a tactic 4 and he's very happy with it, including the ventilation which was severely tested on Friday and Saturday!

I've got the previous model ambush which is excellent.

Tried one on and it looked rather odd. The fixed peak is quite high. And fixed

It is quite special looking. I'm not fussed about the peak being fixed, so long as it is fixed in a decent position.

FWIW MrsP had a big off at the weekend that did some terminal damage to a Tactic 4. She had a few scrapes and bruises but no sign of any head/brain issue, so she's getting another one. (she liked it before the off anyway)

I've just ordered the tactic 4 from Tredz with one of the extra £5 off pop-ups

It does look a bit special, but then so do I!

I was figuring for £45 and the results of the virgina tech safety rating it was worth it

Bought an Oakley DRT5 that works well. glasses holder, sweat gutter, ventilation, good looks and normal head fits. Got it in a sale so within budget, might be a bit spendier now
