[Closed] Help me buy a rigid 29er

I haven't bought a new bike for ages and am pretty out of touch. I've got quite a specific list of requirements but I'm befuddled by choice. I'd rather buy a complete bike than build one.

So, can you good folk help me find a rigid 29er (or a hardtail and suggestions of a pair of decent rigid forks) which has rack and mudguard mounts, gears (either dérailleur or hub gears), isn't stupidly heavy and costs less than a grand.

Moon on a stick?

That looks perfect and is a bargain but it's not in my size (I'm 5'11).

Genesis Fortitude.

You may struggle from a budget perspective with a complete bike unless you go with the SS and add gears at a later stage?

I built mine from a frame only for less than a £1000.

An old pic but you get the idea.

Comes with more mounts than I know what to do with 😳

How about a Charge? and put some cromoto's on that..
Edit, apparently it comes with 10% of the purchase price worth of freebies so you could get some cromoto's free with the bike..

I'm after a rigid singlespeed; 29er or 26er if anyone has one for sale? Looking for cheaper than the OP though.
Apologies for the hijack 🙂

One of these? :

EDIT: Sorry, thats a 26er. The 29er versions are single speed only, but you could retro fit a alfine perhaps?

Letmetalktomark - how tall are you and what size fortitude do you ride. Just seen this and am very tempted.

Cube LTD 29er comes in less than £1,000 and you'd get a set of rigid carbon forks for less than £100. Sell the forks that were on the bike and you'll be quids in.

Austin - I hadn't seen your response until now.

I'm 6'2''/6'3''

That's a 20.5''

They aren't super long in the TT so plenty of potential for adjustment.

That's a cracking price for a complete build.
