BB is truvativ GXP .. BB tool seems sliding and rounding the BB so kinda stopped it before I do more damage, both the truvativ gxp bb in my bikes is having this problem.. BB tool is ok, i have uberbike BB for HT2 and bb tool teeth sits flush in the bb.
Should i take this to LBS instead and let the pro do their thing, or any tips to remove this bb myself? Thanks
Silly question but are you going the right way?
Large water pump pliers, assuming the BB is dead.
Yes going the right way, against the arrow.
BB still ok, but don't matter really as i am fitting a HT2 BB.
The Uberbike BB comes with threadlock. It makes it a total arse to remove. Copper slip or antiseize should be the only thing on a Bb, not bloody threadlock. It doesnt matter if a bb unscrews, as the crank will keep it on until you fix it.
