I just bought a 2006 Heckler frame from the classifieds and want to run it 1x9 with XT cranks and an MRP mini G2 chainguide. The guide has to be BB mounted using an adapter. Has anyone done similar? Can you tell me how many BB spacers I wiill need and which side to put them on?

I ran mine dual ring with a BB mount Blackspire Stinger, the Stinger just replaced one of the spacers on the drive side. I'd imagine it'd be the same with the MRP. which would mean (iirc) one spacer each side.
Single ring with an E-13 back place ISCG mount I think was 1 spacer removed and mount next to frame. This was a long time ago though
I've used a Gamut P30 without issues (SLX cranks). Iirc, it's one spacer on the non-driveside and then the back-plate between the frame and a spacer on the other side.

Not a heckler but on my Bullit which I believe is pretty similar I have used an E13 DRS and a Sunline V1 both in BB mount. I had to put a spacer between the bb mounting plate and the BB cup otherwise the granny ring bolts/bolt mounts catch on the plate. Dunno if that messes with chainline or what but its fine now. This is with Raceface cranks btw.
Oh and what way around does the BB mount go? As in flat side out or in?
I had flat side in with my Gamut, if that helps.

You do what you need to get it aligned right. For me, that was as stated previously.
