My current headset is listed as being this - VP Components, ZS56/28,6-ZS56/40
i want to replace it with something better as it keeps going a bit stiff after I ride. It loosens up again and I have tried adjusting the torque on the stem bolt but my guess is it’s just cheap and therefore shite.
What do the numbers mean - ZS etc. and what is a decent replacement that is a lot less than £100....?

ZS = Zero Stack and 56 relates to the internal diameter of the headtube. 28.6 is the diameter of the upper fork steerer and 40mm is the lower - 1.125” - 1.5”. Superstar do one for £35.
