Hello,
I've removed the bottom part of my headset off my frame as there is part of the old bearing stuck in there, it's tightly fitted in and i need to get it out to put my new nearing in.

Any advice on how to get the old part out?

A

i have just had one of these in the workshop rusted in, if i can't lever it out i use a dremmil to grind through the race untill it cracks then they lever out easy, then use dremmil with wire brush to clean out the seat for the new bearing.

? are you talking about the bit inside the headtube of the frame

if so, see
http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/headset-fitting-questions

and you knock them out with one of these

**Note that there are different diamaters so bear that in mind.

if you mean the bearing is stuck you could try soaking with Plus Gas (or another freeing agent)
