If my press arrives today I'll be fitting an On One Smoothie Regular Headset (external type) to an Inbred Frame. It looks like the kind of job that could be potentially disastrous if not done properly so I'll be taking care.
My main question is: Should I grease the races before fitting them?
Any other advice greatly appreciated thanks.

Grease everything IMO, little dab on the cups, bearings and race(s).
Can't do any harm 🙂
Just make sure everything's nice and straight, slow and steady is the order of the day.
