Why would I go anywhere when it's so much fun watching you, not have a clue 💡 😀

Anyone can join a thread heckler and I'm interested to see how these tools of yours do in terms of effectiveness.

Considering you ride a single pivot and have already shown a lack of understanding about the press fit BB's, this should be quite amusing 😯

As for sending me personal emails and being a disrespectful little madam, that just makes it all the more fun.

You can have all the qualifications in the world but without hands on knowledge you still will not understand the problems involved in creating a tooling range!

For example ➡ a lot of the Intense frames have two bearings that sit or are housed inside the main frame, you cannot get into them with a basic bearing puller as the bearing opposite blocks access, there are a few ways to get them out, but using a cheap/cost effective puller/press will present certain difficulties.

How do you with all of your quals (qualifications) and a proper job as you mentioned in your email, intend to deal with these pivot bearings ❓

Lastly a mountainbike frame is more to me than just a lump of metal with holes in, that bearings fit into, as you so eloquently put it.

Just as a mountain bike is more than just a collection of parts, the more effectively the individual components work in unison, the better the bike rides and performs.

As you said it's not about black magic or wizardry, however there is an art to it and it does take skill and experience, it's why we have good mechanics 😀 and shite ones 😉 !

have already shown a lack of understanding

Kaesae it's not like you haven't ever been there eh? Like I mentioned above you previously claimed it best if the pivot bearings 'soaked up' some suspension movement, didnt you?

kaesae learn when to leave it. You joined STW in an eruption of vitriol after someone suggested your eclectic range of rough looking used frames on ebay looked suspicious, and some of the stuff you posted in reply made me think you genuinely have a personality disorder.

You've slowly built some goodwill here by sharing your enthusiasm for bearings, sorting people out with cheap/free kit to demo/test, all of which is sound business sense above and beyond possibly showing a positive trait to your character.

I read this thread as cruzheckler wanted to get some tools produced. He approached you privately and you said you couldnt help. He's gone elsewhere for the tooling and been successful. Youve then joined his thread to advertise your own tools which is bad form (I doubt the mods would let you as a trader start a thread advertising your tool or bearing range, but they accept guerilla marketing) and taken the opportunity to insult him and his product.

Compare that with Brant, Progressive Si, Mike @ Dialled etc all of whom either dont comment on competitor's bikes, or comment positively.

If you have any sense and can resist the obviously strong urge to react and argue, you should bow out of this thread now. I dont know cruzheckler from Adam and he doesnt need me to fight his fights but don't throw away all the goodwill youve worked for a year to build.

Cruz Heckler if you make your version of the press tool with a quick release threader then I'd buy the complete thing off you 😉

Something more like the Park professional version so you just click it on and then use the top thread to do the gentle part, would be great 😉

This is an image from Parks website, of course I wouldn't want you to plagiarise the whole idea though.

There press contains all the bits needed to do the 1.5 cups and the bottom brackets that people need.

Munqe-chick - you are spot on with your assumptions, i wanted tools making, asked kaesae, he said he couldn't, a bloke off here sorted me. The more made, the cheaper they are obviously, so i slapped this thread up. captain bellend appears and says he can sell stuff and gets the hump when i politely tell him to **** off!

tbh I avoid kaesaes stuff on ebay because of how he is on here I would rather pay more than deal with you tbh.
I will send some pics of the frame/bearings later you can do a loss leader and i will test it for you 😉

I see what you mean.

Except for the fact that I've already bought the equipment and started manufacturing the bushing tools.

http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/hi-stw-anyone-have-any-experience-with-metal-lathes-or-bench-saws#post-2616654

I also started working with riders on here to develop a press and puller tooling range for pivot points.

http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/stumpjumper-bearings-when-to-replace#post-2629641

So an 💡 that I have already invested time, effort and resources in, what do you think STW should I simply walk away, or should I continue what I've been working on for over a month ❓

The bottom line is, I am developing these tools and I have been for quite some time.

Should I have joined this thread ❓ you can decide that for yourselves, I'm off back to work.

Instead of sorting it out privately, the two of you aired your dirty washing for all to see.

Not exactly what most prospective customers want to see from a business, although it does appear to be the thing to do for small bike related business's on here.

I suggest you request a threadlock and let it vanish into obscurity.

are you doing an external BB bearing puller? (the cups not press fit)
Raceface did one a while back but wanted a small fortune for it and don't seem to be available anyway now.

Or does this one do the job? I know it does hope cups/bearings but does it do shimano cups too? I assume it trashes the bearing you take out? (just resting on the inner race)

I will ONLY be offering headset presses and shock bushing presses for fox shocks (or shocks with 1/2" bushes)

Nothing else at the moment, BETD do a bearing press/remover for external bbs with cups

'Wear' was this 'Thread' (please stop) a couple of weeks ago? I've just experienced protracted headaches swapping my RM rear sus bushes and bearings.

Would defo place an order, would need 3 different sizes....actually just two as the BB pivot requires internal to external impact....nightmare without the correct tool.

I may be able to help out with these if you can tell me what you need.

Thanks for the mention Shmeckler and for motivating me to get my tooling range launched 😀

kaesae - whats with being a cock again dude? Fair play you have got some tools made up, I on the other hand am happy, have a house in a tiny village in the peak district, a great partner, a fantastic daughter, and earn over £40k a year. I also actually ride my bikes quite a lot, ergo i win!

Note - no smiley

Phew!

I'm still really interested in bearing/bushing (pullers/pushers). The design I was impressed with was made by Transition Bikes, so simple.
I'll post up photos and dimensions soon, or email them to you…..if I post them up then the world can follow the design and drool over the ‘fin’ products.

Frustratingly, RM decided to use 3 different bearing sizes on their 05 bike, then there's the Fox bushes to push in/out!
All in all, a rather expensive ‘pulling fest' indeed!

This needs to get done smeckler, if you're not going to do it, then stop wasting riders time.

You were the one that mentioned my name and said you couldn't do it, I want to do it and am willing to work with other riders to get it done.

No doubt too busy congratulating yourself on how cool and amazing you are , how much time each day, do you spend massaging your own ego, patting yourself on the back and talking to yourself in front of the mirror, while practicing your winning smile must be very time consuming.

Not as long as the unemployed scotsman 🙂
