[Closed] Hayes HFX9 bleed connectors?

To save me forking out unnecessarily on the full bleed kit does anyone have any spare connectors (the little plastic inserts that go into top of master cylinder and into hose for fluid) or anything they know of that fits instead?

(I've got everything else; fluid, hoses etc)

Driving me mad fiddling around without these and oil pissing about everywhere!

Any pointers much appreciated,
Cheers
Dave

take a tube from some GT85, insert it into a bleed pipe (any old bit of plastic hose) and glue it in properly with araldite or something....

once dry and sealed, youve got yo self a bleed fitting!
winner!

On my old Hayes MAGs I used to stick some windscreen washer tubing (the same I used to connect the syringe and caliper bleed nipple) in to the bleed hole on the lever. I thought the design was the same on the HFX9s. The outer dimensions of the tubing was a perfect fit.

The washer tubing needs an adaptor of some sort for HFX9s to fit on the lever - fits without onto the caliper nipple.

jim - bleed fitting for hfx9 looks like this http://www.spadout.com/p/hayes-hfx-9-bleed-fitting/

Are you sure they're compatible?

Alas you're correct, totally different fitting.

Does anyone have a photo where this "lirtle plastic inserts" goes?

Edited to add:

My Hayes MAGs were bled like this, but the windscreen washer tubing was the right size so you could do away with the "special" plastic adapter to fit between the hose and the lever
