So after selling my 29'er XC HT and deciding that I wanted something a little more less race orientated for larking about and general riding, I thought you know what a fat bike would be nice.

Mboy of these parts had this on offer at his shop and I picked it up today.

It's a KTM Fat Rat, comes with the RS Bluto , SRAM X9 2x10 that'll be going 1x in the morning with a 28t front and 11-40 out back and I'll get the tyres up tubeless.

Can't wait to ride it.

Tht loosk great - lthough I'll never understand why bike companies choose to draw attention to cables by makign them bright colours. 1x will sort half of it, I guess

You weren't joking when you said you wanted something less race orientated.
I like the cables.

That's the rubbish one that the kids play on, the other is far more lush.

A man who has three lawns can surely afford a 598 and a Fat Adapter kit? (598 is awsome, by the way)

Thats a terrible gap in the flooring by the front wheel, you need DD's advice.

Nice looking bike though. Are you riding the Bonty 24/12? Just interested to know if it'll be there...

Ah yes. 565 is a fork mount. Forgot that.

The 598, as reviewed here, http://road.cc/content/review/195134-thule-proride-598 , will fit pretty much anything.

I know, rubbish ain't it. It'll be replaced by a new wing soon anyway.

I'm not I'm afraid, wife is due 1st week in August so it's a bit far from home given the situation.

Most mail order companies will give you an option of the day you want your bride delivered.

Oh...sorry.....I see.

Easy mistake to make......... apparently.

Those with coloured cable issues, one is now gone

Here's a few snaps of the finished job, now running 1x10 with 28t Steel x-Sync ring & 40t One-Up expander and the rims are taped ready to go tubeless.
