Looking at some halo vapour wheels and these come in 2 flavours.... Standard 6 drive hubs or SuperDrive. So after a bit of checking it seems the SuperDrive has many pawls and makes a lot of noise. Question is how do the fair against the 6 drive hubs does any one know? I'm all for the fancy new hub but not if it's unreliable with too many bits in it and won't last 5 minutes
had a set of superdrives since march, no issues yet!
Engagement from a supa drive is easily as good as I9, but they need quite thin grease to work correctly. They're only triple pawl (i9 are 6 pawls) so shouldn't be too expensive to fix should things go wrong.
If you're a proper pedal masher, it be worried about the level of torque you can apply rough the tiny pawl engagement on the supadrive. I'm not and mine were fine. More reliable than my I9s and quicker to engage than my CKs.
I've gone back to CKs as the bearings in CK hubs, quite simply, last forever.
