I inherited a KMC chain on my SS, it's wider than a normal MTB chain so I assume it's a BMX chain. Anyway, I need to shorten the chain, but by less than a whole link. I assume a half-link is the answer, but where can I get one? Struggling to find anything online except in the US...

Thanks, but do you really have to buy a whole chain of them?

Someone asked almost the same question yesterday and was given a link to someone selling individual half links

I bought a whole half link chain for a tenner from Amazon. Made more sense to me than buying one link for £2 or £3.

Me too. You'll probably want another one for when you renew the chain so it makes sense

Oops, I did look but missed that one.

Can it be any old half-link chain then?
