WTF have they given out the frame number???
Surely, seeing as how Boardman bikes are sold only through Halfwits, they could trace through records, to find the owner?
Or is that too simple?

If the owner paid cash, they won't have records.

I think Halfwits take addys off all cycle purchasers, for their records. Not compulsory, but most people do it. Part of the PDI form thingy.

A spokesman for Durham Police said police were keen to return the property to its original owner. "Despite inquiries with local cycle dealers, we have so far been unable to re-unite the cycle with its owner," he said.
Why do the police talk like that? Does anyone refer to bike shops as "cycle dealers"?
