anyone please.
Here you go Ton.
Have a good ride out mate.
any routes across the other side of the valley to get back to glentress? up to about the same distance again would be fine!
Gypsy Glen is a great descent, but be warned, it is also a total coont of a climb to get up there. Maybe not one to be undertaken by someone who's had recent medical advice?
Jeffcapeshop - Basically the river Tweed and the Peebles-Galashiels main road prohibits any joined up off-road loops. You will need to cross both and ride along one(I'll leave you to work out which one!) to get back to GT trail centre. A decent option we use is to take the Peebles Hydro access road just as you leave Peebles proper, then turn up Jenny's Brae(Forestry Sign posted entry) a bit of a slog of a climb which sadly gets steeper nearer the top, but it brings you out at the top car park at GT then you are right back in the middle of it all. Alternatively, there is a myriad of wee hand cut ribbons of singletrack running through the woods as you climb Jenny's Brae - I've never tried these but the look a hoot.
Sorry I don't have any GPS type jiggery-pokery to illustrate these ramblings...
ah so clockwise is the way to do the gypsy glen? in that case i do indeed know a couple ways back into GT as you say! ta
