Guided rides in the Peaks

I want to ride in the Peak District whilst I’m still on leave at the beginning of September, but don’t want to ride solo. Are there any ride leaders that do regular mixed guided rides?

I've only ever seen a guided group up there once, and they'd come as a group, with the guide from elsewhere, but I can't remember where exactly.

To be honest, the Peaks aren't particularly remote compared to other mountain biking destinations.

This chap may be able to help you.

He publishes a lot of Peaks routes.

Might be worthwhile having a chat with Jamie at True North Adventures

Have a look for 'The Rides' on Faceybook

Not guided as such, but group rides (usually someone leading) with all welcome every week and by the look of it there seems to be a broad mix of people. Sometimes mixed bikes, sometimes all eeb or all normal. There will generally be a heads up about what to expect

If you fancy any Eastern Moors action and I'm about then PM me.

Same applies for white peak pootles.

Not gnarly but lovely views and as many cafe/pub stops as you can handle ?

Not guided, but the V-Pubishing guidebooks are pretty good for legal trail routes and have OS mapping, photos and good detailed route descriptions. 18 Bikes in Hope sell them, but is also a great little shop run by good people and I'm sure would be happy to give you some tips on routes, conditions etc.

Eg:

That'a the Dark Peak one, but there is/was also a White Peak volume depending on where you're based. There are fair number of Peak-based riders on here - holds up hand - so worth posting nearer the date. It's a long time since there's been any sort of semi-organised/ mostly-chaotic STW Peak ride.

There’s some company in Hope who do this. I saw their office when I rode through there the other week. Can’t remember their name though!
