My nephew is a bikemessenger, i want to find him some very stiff shoes to bike in, but must look "normal" or casual, in would be nice in black, i have looked at crc, where they have:
I need a really stif skate style shoe, being a bikemessenger it has to have a very stiff sole!

Shimano MP66 would fit the bill I suppose, but I'm not sure if you can get them in black anymore...
I've some element townsends, I paid £25 in a sale, but they still appear in some shops, would be a bargain at full price they've been my only pair of trainers for 3 years now.
- almost as stiff as my DX SPD's which are pretty soft for a SPD mind you.
- properly replaceable sole, so when it does wear through I'll get some dotty/c4/stealth soles.
I fitted insoles from boots which cost ~£25 and saved my knees and also adds to the stiffness.
