... over at bikeradar. Only 3 out of 10 here, very poor.

5, not bad for someone who doesn't buy MTB tyres any more.

3 out of 10 here too. Got all the Spesh ones right but I've never run any of the others.

What surprised me though was just how similar the tread patterns are between manufacturers.

7/10

Some by a process of elimination and/or guesswork I must admit.

9/10, missed the Ground Control. Purgatory looks like Cartman.

Tell me I'm not the only person who looks at tyre tracks and goes "hmm, a Schwalbe Mountaineer 2 passed by here" I know Bigjim does it, he once stalked and caught me by following my tracks, and possibly sniffing trees.

6 out of 10, 90% guess work

3 - only actually knew one but the other 2 were fairly confident choices

I got 0/7 on random guessing (they tricked me a bit with the "trek" question - assumed it was a bluff)

4 - two of which were guesses and the other two I own.

Quite pleased at my lack of tyre geek-ness.

I knew I had a tyre problem. 10/10.

Tell me I'm not the only person who looks at tyre tracks and goes "hmm, a Schwalbe Mountaineer 2 passed by here"

You are not alone. I'm like a rubbery Aragorn...

6/10 but only one that I actually knew for sure, not massively surprising really, I'm too tight to spend money on tyres.

Quite proud I got a score which could easily have been achieved by pure luck (3/10). Glad I'm not a tyre nerd. ๐Ÿ˜†

I know Bigjim does it, he once stalked and caught me by following my tracks, and possibly sniffing trees.

๐Ÿ˜€

I only got 9/10 on the test though so might be losing my touch

4/10

1 certainty, 3 guesses. And I didn't even spot the tyres I use.

6/10 which is not bad considering I only really know German tyres

3/10, and I managed to get my own tyres wrong.

This used to be much easier: the answer was always Ritchey Z-Max, Panaracer smoke/ dart or Tioga Psycho.

7/10

About right. Bit of a tyre fetish but not a total anorak.

9/10, missed the Ground Control. Purgatory looks like Cartman.

As STW's resident tyre anorak this is poor show.

5/10 - I got the first 4 right and then it all went Pete Tong. 90% guessing though.
