Or doesn’t it matter? I can find info online about adjusting the clutch switch tension, about when one might switch the clutch off, but nothing about if there is a specific point on the cassette that the clutch is switched on. An example; I’m in highest gear and have switched clutch off to remove the wheel, wheel goes back in. Do I then switch the clutch back on, or should I spin the wheel and go up to the lowest gear and switch clutch on there? Or doesn’t it matter?
There’s a definite spot between 8-7 going back up to low where the shifting takes more pressure on the lever than elsewhere.

I always remove the wheel with the rear mech in the smallest cog (not under any cable tension) and replace with the mech in the same position. I'd only turn the clutch off or on just before or after removing or installing the wheel

You're really over thinking this, it's just an inbuilt tensioner, it hasn't got a sodding clue what bike it's attached to let alone what gear you're in.

Turn it off to take the wheel out, put it back on when wheels is back in.
