It's a Crank Brothers Cobalt... I have a proper Ice-toolz 'headset remover' thingo, but because the headtube is recessed a teeny bit for the headset cups, the flanges on the tool don't sit on the edge of the cup to knock it out (if that makes any sense to anyone)? So... it would seem my 'proper' tool is useless for this job and I now need to bodge it somehow, or am I missing something?
All suggestions welcomed ๐
can you knock it from the inside around the circum. With a flat head srewdriver?
maybe... but I don't have a long enough screwdriver! ๐
I don't understand why my proper tool won't do the job (well... I understand why it won't, but not the reason for it!)
will it engage in the headset at all? i.e. lips ridges etc (long shot)
I thought it had, so gave it a good tap... all I managed to do was knock the top of the bearing off and spray ickle little grease covered ball bearings everywhere! stupid... ๐ฟ
