I seem to remember a site showing how to bodge a gravity dropper with the cable facing forward that tucked everything much more out the way using some sort of elbow where the post meets the cable?

Could anyone please provide the link?

I use one of these to get a nice smooth run with the cable.

An added benefit is that you can also adjust the cable if it stretches a bit.

Ah thanks, that's great. I'll give it a go.

Stu - any chance you could explain a bit more for the non-technically minded like me - not sure how that bendy gadget from Dia Compe would work?

I did that... I used a V brake noodle to bend it round to a better direction.
