Dunno...? Dura-Ace, Carbon Wheels, full carbon finishing kit, 32c tubeless tyres, ditching the Kinesis fork?

Nice! Don't think I'm willing to spend that much to save a kilo though. How are the Hutchinson Sectors? looking for an alternative to my strada biancas.

Slowly converting my old Charge Plug singlespeed into a gravel bike, it was just too versatile to leave as a singlespeed commuter.

Should come in under 10kg without mudguards, and that's with some relatively heavy WTB resolutes, latex tubes, mini V-brakes, nice but average wheel build (DT competitions, DT R460s). It's too much of an experiment to lavish any serious money on, especially since it will end up with some sort of daft 2x7 drivetrain with a 39/25 front chainset. Not built for speed.

Might treat it to an eBay special carbon leaf spring seatpost, and eyeing up the Alivio square taper cranks but they'd be expensive and awkward to replace due to the funky chainlines (120mm OLD frame).

Mine? If you have to ask, it's not the bike for you (It's commuterised with dynamo lights, mudguards and a rack).

It feels, and is, significantly slower than my 8.2kg road bike. I believe it's slightly heavier than my hardtail, which is not a particularly light hardtail. But it plods well and carries all the stuff I need to and from work.

Edit - I have run it with faster rolling tyres, and it's a bit quicker but still noticeably slower than the road bike.
