... what to spend £120 on...
Friend has just got his bike to work voucher and we're off to collect the bike in a minute. Weirdly even though he only ordered a bike/helmet with a value of £880, the Royal Mail in there wisdom have still given him a voucher for £1000. So £120 to spend, and 30 minute before we get to the shop

He's a complete novice and has nothing, except a some Aldi cycle shoes. I'm giving him some old DMR pedals, what else should we get...

Multitool and...

If he's genuinely using it to commute to work then maybe some decent lights?

And some Spokey Dokeys natch.

get him some decent warm gloves and a jacket, he's far more likely to ride the bike if he's warm and dry.

skills day or a bike fit

voucher will have to be spent at the bike shop, though I'll enquire if they do one, probably quite worthwhile for him
Won't use it for commuting as he live too far away.

I think jacket wise, we'll wait for the next aldi/lidl, couple of friend have them and are quite happy.

Multi-tool, gloves, inner tube, pump (though I think I have a spare he can have), oil, a gillet(?) and mudguards.. reckon that the budget sorted.

and were off!
