Just bought some of these and will be fitting at the weekend.
As the bike is at the moment, there are little grommets around the bare sections of cable, presumably to stop them scratching the down tube. Any advice on whether it's necessary to fit these around the liner on the new sealed cables? Shouldn't imagine it's worth it, but interested to see what others have done.

My mate didn't bother. He just fitted them as is and all is fine.
