I see these are reduced in a few places to under £120, making them almost affordable ! Any experiences ? and how do they size up ?

Thanks

I've got a pair and have been using them for about 4 months. I think they are great, very comfortable, good pad. Much better than separate lycra and baggies mainly because they don't slip down or move and no pressure on your middle.

Seriously thinking of a second pair for multi day trips.

Interesting. I am usually baggies over bibs but do get annoyed when they slip down a bit. Is sizing normal or Italian roadie ?

I'd say normal rather than Italian.

Being, not to put too fine a point on it, short and fat 😀 I take and XXL. Sizes up spot on for me helped by the lack of waistband. Shorts themselves aren't that baggy, with a bit of give in the material, which I think is a plus. Only thing I'd mention is that if you are tall they may me a bit short in the leg. Mine sit just above the knee and I'm 5'7".

The Endura MTR Bibshorts /Baggy Short combo are designed to stop slippage too. Might be more expensive but you can still wear them individually too.

very good and I got two pairs, normal sizing. Besides a good snug fit makes them comfortable

Scotroutes, aye, had wondered about them seeing as have loads of Endura stuff. Just ordered a pair of the Gore ones on discount...free returns anyway 😀

Edit - pawsey, thanks, went for L as usually L in bibshorts from Endura, Howies

if you add up cost of endure shorts and a bib .... I'm a long term user of endure good kit. But these have it. No slippage or catching on the saddle.

Cool. Let us know what they're like. Most of my stuff is Endura and Gore.

FWIW, I have the MTB Softshell Bibshorts and they are really nice. Water-resistant arse helps with "personal freshness" 🙂

turned up yesterday, look decent, feel pretty weird !- got Large and have now also ordered Medium to see which is best. The large feels good, but is so stretchy, comfy and lightweight it feels like wearing very little whatsoever 🙂

Don't appear to have much warmth - akin to very light summer road bibs with a band of modesty protection !

I have two pairs. I reviewed a set for the mag - then promptly bought more.

Love them.

update - the red ones from Wiggle were a bit too gnarr for me, so went back - fitted a treat tho... 🙂

However, Amazon do them, from Italy I think, in black, for £95 delivered - bought a pair, then a second set 'cos they are sooo comfy. They are very much a 1 or 2 season garment IMO, not a lot of warmth and quite minimalistic, but really good on the bike !
