Staying in Alnwick in a few weeks and I have a day pass for a ride. Any recommendations?
Ideally 20miles ish, preferably technical trail type stuff. Ideally not much farther north
I was tempted to nip up to Glentress but surely there's some good stuff nearer?
Thrunton woods and Simonside could be worth a look, fair trek to go up to Glentress for a ride from there like
Inners is about a 90min drive, thrunton is worth a look
According to Google maps Inners is 1h50 and Glentress 2h. Probably more at Glentress for a full day, I recall Inners is just an up and down, albeit a pretty big one!
That would be as my folks are about 15mins on the inners side of Alnwick 😉 it do the golfie at inners anyway. Plenty on here can show you the way up there.
