Went out for a couple of hours today (sorry no pics). Had a great time but on a short downhill I got major pump up on the front and took a good 10-15 mins to calm down again. I've had it befor but never this bad. Luckily it happened just befor a spot where some numpty had put some building waste in the trail so I had to stop befor the brake got any worse.
Would my brake benefit from a bleed/overhaul or should I be more careful on my decents?

Too true. I was grabbing anchor more than normal but as Ive not been riding for a while and the trail was new to me, slow was on the menu.
sounds like old brake fluid to me. Dot fluid should be changed every year or so
Thats it then. Brake is 8-9 years old and never been bled.
Ill try it and see what happens.
