I'm currently riding a totally standard Commencal Premier HD4 2012 ( http://www.commencal-store.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=9467018 ).
Frame size is XL so forks are 120mm (RST Blaze ML) and I'm looking to upgrade them to something a bit better.
Any recommendations, will probably start off by trying to find a decent 2nd hand set as I don't want to spend too much.
Also, I have only ever removed forks from a BMX bike, is it a big job on a mountain bike and are there any possible size differences that could mean a new fork not fitting or should any fork be fine?

Guess if you can find a good set at the right price n
Fox floats. Some in the for sale now for £180 worth a look.
Rock shox reba,sids
and recon golds. (Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190828091290?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 )

Would be my choice.

Thanks, would it just be a case of "straight swapping" for the current forks if I were to get something similar to those linked or is there work to do/ extra parts needed when changing?
Would a better fork also typically be lighter than what is on the bike at present?
Thanks

At a Guess a straight swap. Only thing to do would be to get the crown race of your old fork and fit that to the new one.
Also consider your steerer length measure your old one and get one as close if not longer you can always get your local shop to cut it down and refit a new star nut. If the link is right you need a q/r version of any of the fork which I believe the ones I popped on there are.
To be fair any fork from the list would be a great improvement of the stock fork.
If new the recon gold on ebay has good reviews and is worth a look.
