First time in Norway soon but will not get to go out riding so just wondered if there were any bike shops in Oslo worth calling into? If they had anything a little more unusual than most of the LBS over here. Also top tips on other places to go and how much cash would you need for a week of sensible eating out? Cheers

We went to Copenhagen a couple of years ago nearly spat our beer out when we read it was the cheapest of the Scandinavian countries. Thankfully as the beer had cost so much we kept hold.....

Oslo is great. You have to take the ferry out to the little islands and spend some time out there.
I camped on one of them a few years back. It was only after the last ferry had gone that I realised they were populated by quite a lot of drink/drug bums. Lots of seriously ghetto tents and signs of mentalismness.

I felt a little alone in me tent that night. Such a beautiful place though. The opera house is pretty cool, you can walk upp the side of its sloping sides.

Viking museum is good too..

Alcohol is expensive. We found a great place doing Mexican where a pint was only about £6.50... 😀
