I currently have a 9 speed triple Shimano Deore chainset that I want to convert to a double for more race friendly ratios as I find myself shifting on the front rings too much. Thinking something along the lines of 36/24 or 38/26? I don't need the low end of the granny ring so could get away with a 26, and I think I'd prefer the top end speed of the 38 for when on training rides compared to the 36. Has anyone any opinions or seen a cheap 38t chainring anywhere? Cheers
