great thread and piccies, cheers, gives a much better impression of the XC than what was on telly. Looks proper hard going slow let alone competing under pressure at a world level competition speed! It's a shame it didn't make for the great telly viewing like the BMX.

Small rocky up hill towards the end of the lap
Im almost glad they couldnt get up that! I cam across it a couple of weeks back (as its actually in the country park) and thought it was a downhill section - I fell off 3 times, the rocks are positioned so theres effectivley a gap with a rock bvlocking it all the way up (or down in my case)!!

I don't think that "rocky uphil just before the finish" is in the park area, it's between the service area & final climb which has been out of bounds for some time thanks to the Fort Knox like security.
