Ride before last in the Surrey Hills - big bloody bite on the leg, probably by some pesky varmint hitherto unseen north of the Iberian Peninsula.

This weekend - "Jungle Juiced" the legs. Result? Bitten on the arm - 3 times - by different pesky little barstewards (different quality of skin reaction).

Beware. Even in the South East now - deet up everything!!

Tiger, where are you? I have a flock that swarms right over my house most nights. The population seems to double every year.

Ah, Psittacus Londinium, aka the fabled London Parakeet. Common sight now in parks. Noisy little buggers.

Tiger, where are you?

I'm right here

Which is near Windsor

edit: ohh just remebered your roadie thread, so I'm in Egham as you clearly know your way round here and will understand where Egham is rather than the usual blank face I get.

Have flocks of those over here in Molesey. I really like them it's great when they are in the garden trees squawking away.

When West Nile Virus gets here (due to warming) you can start to worry.

For now, horse flies are painful and annoying, but not deadly.

It seems to have been a very good year for horseflies.

If you're not familiar - high stealth level for undetected landings and very painful bite which often causes swelling and discomfort
