Can somebody please explain the best way to quickly get back to the top of home baked from the bottom of it, just so i can session it a few times before moving on? ive heard its possible and pretty straight forward from other riders, but i just dont wanna get lost. ta

Also, is there an up to date trail map incl fire roads for Gisburn anywhere?

Home baked is the bit through the woods right? If so, just turn right at the bottom and follow the fire road. Pretty sure it'll take you back towards the start.

turn rightas you come out of the tress onto the fireroad, at the t jct turn right again and it takes you back to the top.

Or another option... Turn right at the bottom and follow the fire-road. After a few minutes climbing, the fire-road bends to the left and theres a faint trail going into the trees on the right/straight ahead on the corner. Push/ride up that and it'll take you to homebaked but misses the first uphill/flat section and spits you out near the start of the descent.

No probs. It seems to be quite a well used push up from what I can remember...

map - www.pmba.org.uk/gisburn.htm although not totally up to date (things keeps changing). Will probably be e new map fairly soon as the volunteers should open a new kilometer of singletrack in late summer and Clixby's are building new trail as well (649m so far, I measured it today before leaving site).

DBW's push up is an original barrow run used by the first volunteers. I think they included employees from a large company (3M? or similar) who were doing volunteer work thru Lancs council.

The Bearded One introduced me to it on a skills day. But its come in useful... Such a good section of trail (just not for 780mm bar users!).
