Hi folks

Taking a novice riding around gisburn soon, we are going to do the blue route. Question please: Is it possible to take your bikes to the waterfalls? Is it too far to push? Or is it strictly foot path only?

Cheers!

From what I remember, the falls are tucked away from any path and you have to scramble down a bit. They certainly aren't visible from the blue. You could easily hide the bikes just off the trail, though, so shouldn't be a problem to leave them there.

I think the easiest access is from the first section of singletrack you reach after the red splits away from the blue.

I would not leave bikes unattended around Gisburn with some of the characters I saw there the other week.

This is a good point. I don't normally go up there on a weekend, so bikes would have to be well hidden and nowhere near the trail.

I'd generally work on the principle that scrotes would mainly be hanging around the trail head looking for unattended bikes, rather than circling the blue poking in the bushes, though.
