hey folks, thinking of heading up to gisburn tomorrow with my mate for the first time. Would someone be able to let us know are the trail conditions like at the moment please?

You'll not be surprised to hear that we've had a lot of snow and rain. But Gisburn drains pretty well. You'll be reet

It'll be alright. Wet, but alright. Take care on the boardwalk after the quarry would be my only cautionary note, but even that should be fine.

is there a way to bypass the boardwalk if its really slick?

Yes, you can miss out the section by just keeping going past the quarry on the fireroad and turn right up another to the end of the section. If you get there and find it's a bit slippy, then you have to slither along it or retrace your steps, as it's swamp either side.

I would refer you to the PMBA website, but it appears to have gone caput.
