Was riding at Gisburn yesterday. Had a good day out. But I had read somewhere that readers of a magazine had voted it the trail centre of the year. Have to say can't see it being that. But fun all the same. Sop what made it the best if you were one of those that voted? Did I miss a section?

Gisburn - It's OK, got a little bit of everything but is ultimately handicapped by lack of height/steepness. Makes good use of what it's got.
It was the MBR readers trail of the year. Basically cos we got everyone we knew to vote for it. We got 100 odd votes and won with 20% of the total vote. Not massively representative.
It probably won as it's fairly local to a lot of people and it's got a fairly active trail building community. If you compare it to what used to be there it's amazing.
