I saw the review of the 2017 model on the front page of the STW site. I wondered how it rode compared to the first version. I think it's pretty rare for a suspension system to live as long as Maestro has. Anybody able to compare them?

I've had 2005 and 2008 trances, and 2012 and 2015 Anthems, all have been great with just very minor tweaks in the maestro setup. I like the fact that it has been consistent (and consistently good) over such a long period. Giant really nailed the design I reckon...

Maestro is still the newcomer* surely? Horst (early 90's), VPP (late 90's), I think there's Orange five's and Kona's on a cave painting.
*it's even older if you accept the fact that Giant did a Trek/Specialized with regards to Dave Weagles patents.
