Going to change my rims soon so need to ghetto the new ones too.
I would just change the tubes over but I got the wrong size last time 16" not 20"! I know how thick.
CRC dont have 20" Schwalbe tubes But wiggle have 24" ones. So does anybody know if 24" tubes will ghetto or will they be too slack? And if they wont work what other tubes have the lock bolt?
Thanks all.
I use bontrager 20" tubes and they haven't lost a bit of air in 6 months. You dont need the screw valve.
i think i have 4 brand new boxed schwalbe 20" tubes with removalble cores in the shed. i bought them for converting but never bothered . whats the going rate as id sell em
firestarter £6 each on CRC
Where are you BTW?
im in leeds mate
Ah Brum bit too far to collect.
How much do you want including postage?
Are you looking for Schrader?
CRC seem to have stock of Presta
Oh and are they Schrader?
Oh uplink I thin that answers your Q.
the thin ones non car type cant remember what they are called tho
Non car type is presta - same as the CRC ones in stock.
I'm pretty sure Conti Schrader tubes have a lock nut
if not - you could always use the lock nuts off the 16" ones
Will 24" tubes not work then?
They may well work, I've never tried them
I can't quite visualise how tight or slack they'll be
Might pop into halfords tomorrow with my valve tool. See what hey have.
I_Ache - sorry got my terminology mixed up, my DS28 rims are drilled for PRESTA valves. Hope I haven't screwed things up for you 😳
Get mine from Asda, about £3.60 each (Schraeder)
oh dear already got the tues cut and cleaned ready to go on the rims.
Oh well I will have to get the drill out as I really dont like presta.
Dont worry about it.
Sorry mate "gulp"
Its fine.
