Damn (lots of swearing), Ive just managed to over tighten one of my front brake caliper bolts only by a couple of Nm, but its now spinning in the fork thread........can it be tapped?.

You might get away with a longer bolt but a helicoil would be the proper fix. Cheap and easy

Phew, on second look, Ive managed to use a longer bolt and thread seems ok. End of old bolt looks pretty knackered. Fingers crossed it holds.
