We got pulled on the way back from Hamsterley today.
An unmarked '02 astra drove past on a roundabout as we went into crook.
A mile or so down the road, my mate pulled over to let a police van past, which had it's lights flashing away. They pulled in behind us and stopped.
He got out to speak to them, they said that there had been a bike stolen locally.
My mate, was in his company ford ranger, with logos down the side and back. He was covered in mud, face filthy, police lady was really nice to him and said that the unmarked had called it in so they had to stop him.
After running the plates and having a check that he knew what make the bikes were they let us go on our way. All very pleasant.
My mate didn't notice until we stopped off for a late lunch that I had written "I love cock" in the dirt on the back of the truck just before leaving Hamsterley.
The police lady must have seen it when reading his registration.
