Before even clicking on the link, nord-locks sprung to mind. For added security, lockwire as well.
Schnorr washers are also a good alternative to Nord in some applications. And both can be used in applications where the jam nut can't, eg bolt into blind hole. A schnorr was the only thing that kept the exhaust on my old XT motorbike, everything else had the bolt vibrating loose.

He talks about vibration loosening fasteners - he's right it does. But he doesn't explain why it loosens fasteners. The reason that vibration loosens fasteners is because it momentarily overcomes the tension in the joint and allows the nut/bolt to slip relative to each other and the clamped components.
Best mechanism to ensure joints don't loosen; a properly designed joint. A large enough bolt/nut/thread/interface to support a large enough tension that resists all the loads. Then tighten the joint to the correct torque value.
All of the anti-rattle devices in the world (Nyloc nut/thread-locking compound etc....) won't work if the loads, including the vibration loading, exceed the tension in the fixings and joint.
