As above really - somewhat confused by Vagabond sizing. At 176cm (5'9 and a half), some websites put me on a medium whereas some put me on a large frame. Does anyone have one and could offer some real world advice?

I'd be eternally grateful. Ta.

Genesis say you are bang in the middle of a large, id go with that.

I’d really recommend trying one out if at all possible. Am a tad under your height and a (stock) medium seemed really comfortable first off. I have short reach so that’s a factor. Long story short - I ended up swapping it for a Longitude as my terrain/requirements changed, but tbh I think the sizing of my Vagabond was a factor in the decision.

Looking back I wish I’d tried a large as it did feel cramped on longer rides and my seatpost was set pretty high.

Yet, it was perfect in the woods/singletrack and on short local road trips. Bit of an odd one as it’s a bike trying to bridge the MTB/road gap with an MTB bias. When I was adapting 90s MTB frames to try and achieve the same kind of ATB/tourer I’d always go a size up from MTB which would usually work out between 18-19”, whereas my MTBs are generally 17.5” optimal.

I’d guess at Large for you, unless to to be mostly used for MTB, but then...if the latter was the case you’d probably be buying an MTB!

Thanks chaps. I was wondering if erring on the side of large would be wise. It'd be used for riding to the forest (20km) then hooning around the trails, then riding home again.

I'm always between sizes and every time I buy I bike I have this issue 🙂
