Considering one of the above. Would need to run a 2.25 Schwalbe Ice Spiker occasionally.
Wht's the biggest one you've had in the rear?
OR
Anyone know of a thinner spike 29er tyre?
Got to buy a bike today. Anybody have any experience with this bike?
It'll fit a pretty big tyre but depends on axle position / gearing. 2.4 Ardent on a big rim will be pushing it if the wheel's tucked in, it's almost 750mm dia so the spikes will need to be pretty big to cause any issues.
Cheers jameso
I have one of those and I think that would fit. There is plenty of tyre clearance with the standard Continentals fitted.
Thanks for replying. Ordered one now so I'm committed.
I had 2.35 Big Apple, now Smart Sam 2.1 with full length mudguards - should have enough clearance, anyway you could use halflink to fit the wheel further away I guess...
Top man kazafaza, mind thourougly put to rest now. Excited now
