Does anyone know if there is a bothy besides Geldie Burn as I am struggleing to find much info on the internet about it.

A quick google reveals something referred to as Geldie Burn bothy but it is disused.

Geldie Lodge maybe is what you're thinking of, but its a ruin..

I seem to remember a post about 'The Black Bothy' shown on some maps near the Geldie, but safe to say it doesn't exist! Otherwise there is the lean-to behind the ruins of the Geldie Lodge.

We used it to sit and cook in on a windy wet night rather than huddling in the porches of our tents, it was nice but there were plenty of leaks/big gaps in the walls and the floor was a bit clarty. Better than nothing I guess.

Thanks for the replys so far, so this pic of building work going on which appears to be from 2000 wasn't a full restoration of the bothy then, just some maintenance !

Yah that's a ruin, the sign you can see in the pic states that the building is unstable. Last rode past about 8 weeks ago.
