Hi Just got a garmin 705 was just wondering what mapping software people are using ? Are their any decent free ones available or any worth buying? also what about topo maps etc

ive got uk street maps which are great on the road and the topo . Topo is crap but nowt better around i dont think. Dunno what downloads are avail but bound to be someone along soon with links ๐Ÿ™‚

I've got City Nav Europe and Topo on mine, the Topo is nowhere near as good as OS but it gives you contours and an idea of ground cover (trees etc) it also shows tracks but doesn't differentiate between Footpaths and Bridleways

I use Memory Map which is very good, but expensive, and Mapyx quo, which is much cheaper, but not quite as intuitive.

oh i plan my rides on memory map and send the route to the garmin
