They also now make shoes that don't look quite so "special"...

I was a little disturbed when my boyfriend said they do girl ones now, with pink and purple bits. They're actually quite nice looking after all.

really like those 5:10's that CF posted are very tasty. I've got the regular 5:10's, which are brilliant on the bike and very comfy off, but a skate-type shoe with sticky soles makes my credit card nervous. ๐Ÿ˜€
[edit] btw, What Mountain Bike feature the 5:10 Daecent this issue and rate it very highly with flats. It's actually an approach shoe with completely flat sticky sole, and looks very tasty. [/edit]

*despairs over designers of lady bike gear*

More pink and purple? Do they think we're all 6 year old girls trapped in women's bodies?

I tried those on in my lbs. As someone who always shies away from anything pink and obviously girlie, I thought they looked good. More toned down in the flesh as it were. Unfortunately I don't have girlie-shaped feet so have to stick to the blokes ones.

I always wear stealth black ๐Ÿ™„

Whats the sizing like on the 5:10's?
Do you have to go up a size like you do with SPD's?

From memory the sizing is the same as Shimano, for men's anyway.

It's a shame that fashion follows sports wear.
I would love some but don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb.

skate shoes + re-sole?

It'll still be cheeper han 5.10's and you can take your pic (as long as its a seperate sole and stiff enough)
