Has anyone else had problems with bluetooth since the last Garmin software update?

My Garmin is saying it's connected on the device and the phone but the Connect App says it's not completed and won't upload any rides etc. Tried everything from disconnecting / forgetting phone/device and done a reset. The last option it to wipe the device and start a fresh but not ideal.

any ideas?

Uninstall and re-install connect. I don't think the 810 firmware has changed at all recently, but connect definitely has.

Actually, there is a firmware update from January (6.30) according to the Garmin website. And there's a time zone map update for all GPS devices AFAIK.

For reinstallation, I would recommend the desktop version (Garmin Express) with a good old USB cable.

I've uploaded rides through the updated connect app (Android) within the last couple of weeks.

That's with my Edge 25 that's not had a firmware update in over a year...

Yeah my 820 has failed to upload my last 2 rides over the air. I've had to turn off bluetooth on phone and Garnin and then re-pair them to sort it. Always seems to be the case on every other update

Connect has always been a bit flakey - out of the blue on Sunday it just plain forgot my phone, had to set it up again. No big deal though.

As above I'd try re-installing Connect, if not then start over and treat it as an opportunity for a bit of housekeeping!

It's the 820 explorer, only a month old. Have tried all the recommendations above apart from resetting device to complete factory settings, which I would prefer not to but it's only got 10 or so routes on it.

However, by the sound of it it may not be worth it so may leave it off but wanted to be able to use the text notification etc while I was out.

It's also saying the phone is connected but the bluetooth symbol on the device just flashes rather than stays solid.

When I first set it up it made me connect to the bluetooth on my phone twice for some reason but isn't asking me to do it this time?

Off recent memory the first time it's Bluetooth connectivity, the second connection is for BLE which I always assumed (maybe wrongly) to be the mobile component?

If it's flashing it sounds as though it's waiting for something.

I agree. The phone is definitely connecting but the app says it hasn't. I'll leave it for now and see what happens.

Apologies if this is obvious, but are location services active on the phone?
