Hi chaps and chappesses, happy Christmas and a merry new year and all that.

I've been given, out of the blue, a Garmin Edge 605 by Santa. It's come with no maps included, so I need to download some for biking.
I understand for the UK there's the OS-derived mappery, at £199 the lot. Is it compatible with Memory Maps or other competing offerings?

An added wrinkle is that I'm going to be using it in Canada - can anyone talk me through the Canadian map options? The Garmin website runs out of information at 'Canadian Topographical' (doesn't show scale, screenshots or any such).

Much appreciated, cheers

+2 for talkytoaster. They have the added advantage that if it doesn't have any roads / trails / whatever on it, you can add them yourself to Openstreetmap, wait a week or so and you can have trails you've added yourself on your GPS.
