Can i get a route out of it onto memory map? if so - how?
gps babel, google it
You can import it straight from the 205 into memory map
Go to GPS>GPS setup and fill that in
Then go import from GPS, choose tracks
can't seem to do that
Are the latest USB drivers installed?
I have the opposite problem, when I click to upload a route the 205 beeps instantly and says "transfer complete" but no route is uploaded ๐
Are you uploading tracks not routes?
They all seem to be stored as tracks on mine, if you upload routes it pretends to upload something but there's nothing there.
Uploading tracks - it used to work fine but stopped last week ๐

Have you run out of memory on the Edge?
how do you delete waypoints/marks on the dge?
Navigation...Find...Delete All
read TFM and now away - cheers
Have you run out of memory on the Edge?
not as far as I know, I delete each track as soon as I've uploaded it, and have about 10 stored waypoints
Still can't get tracks OFF the edge 205. Memory map states that "software version 3.20" is not supported ๐
tracklogs and sportracks both support the 205 and will retrieve recorded tracks from the unit.
I get that with my 305.
sorted - using motion based
How you do that Ralph only just got my 305?
Create a motion based account and download the client for your pc
http://www.motionbased.com/
when you connect the unit to your laptop open the MB client and awwy ya go
Ooh that's cool but for some reason it can't find last nights ride, has Monday's though.
The tracks only become available after they've been "ended". This happens when either you start recording a new one *or* you hold the reset button down for 3 seconds (the unit counts down). Took me a while to work out why the most recent track wasn't being downloaded from the unit. I now press/hold the reset button before downloading.
No luck just tried them both it picked up the 1 sec lap I just did though. Wonder if there's a problem as seems to think I did 86 hours of riding on 26th.
you did stop the timer didn't you
Wierd. After a ride I stop the timer and then press/hold reset until it counts down. The most recent track is then available for transfer.

that's news to me! I just plug the thing into my pooter when I get home and it finds the new track. Though I suppose I'll have turned the thing off which may have the same effect ?
The latest funny is that when I upload the route into Memory Map, it shows up as several sub-tracks instead of one continuous one, so I have to go through clicking "join track" to connect the parts...
Sorted it was reporting date and distance wrong in agent but has worked on the site when I uploaded it.
